trying out the QSM .408 silencer on the CheyTac M200. 1/2 MOA groups at 100
yards from both cold and warm bore. No shift in zero between cold and warm
bore, multiple shooters. No change in windage.
CheyTac has told us that no other .408 silencer has performed to the new
standard set by Quicksilver Manufacturing for accuracy, sound reduction and
light weight. Durability testing has been completed with over 600 rounds
through one of CheyTac's QSM silencers.
Recoil reduction has been reported to be similar to the muzzle brake on the
.408, although somewhat different in quality. The CheyTac team reports it's a
slightly sharper recoil, although easier to keep the rifle on target.
CheyTac relates that this silencer performs just as
flawlessly on the .375 as it does on the CheyTac .408 rifles.
